Our group is engaged in ongoing efforts to integrate research and education, and to develop programs that inform and educate the broader community. 

Participation from many disciplines, including mechanical, electrical and control engineers, physicists and materials researchers, makes it an ideal training ground for graduate students as well as for introducing undergrads and high school summer interns to leading edge science. Continuing efforts are made to allow undergraduates to participate in our projects, integrating research with education, and outreach is enhanced through recruitment of local professional science teachers and talented local high-school students for summer internship programs through Stanford’s Office of Science Outreach.
